URGENTLY HIRING

Big M II is seeking a creative, dynamic, and passionate Inside Sales Rep. to join our team!

You will develop your own book of business by prospecting and building productive relationships using our state-of-the-art tools and resources. Along with our technology, we ensure our Inside Sales Reps are up to date with real time market and industry data by offering an extensive training program which builds knowledge on the industry and the services Big M offers.

Your goal is to help customers move their inventory in the most cost-effective way by identifying and providing transportation solutions. You will have the opportunity to build relationships with customers while working in a team environment. You will identify carrier networks, negotiate rates, and ensure our customers freight gets delivered safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quote, negotiate prices and oversee transportation services with customers and carriers through prospecting, cold calling, qualifying, discovery calls and closing deals in an open transactional selling environment.
  • Grow business with current customers and carriers in alignment with account growth strategy plans and market demands, as well as identifying, prospecting, and generating new customers and carriers through analysis and discovery.
  • Monitor shipping activity and growth related to portfolio and identify key accounts that have the potential to increase business.
  • Create and define value for customers by understanding their business model and needs.
  • Use CRM software to maintain a database of current information on new sales opportunities as well as existing customers.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Working independently, great communicator and customer service skills
  • Problem solving and negotiations skills
  • Data entry skills
  • Ability to coordinate high volume phone calls (60-80 phone calls per day)
  • Bachelors degree
  • Transportation and 3rd party dispatch experience in sourcing and developing carriers
  • Negotiation skills
