We are currently seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Wichita, KS. This role is an integral part of our technology team and will be responsible for user security, vulnerability management, identity & access management, risk assessments, and tier II end user support.

  • Essential functions of the role:

    User Security

    • Ensure with the secure operation of computer systems, servers, and network connections
    • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining of security policies, procedures and plans based on industry standard best practices
    • Monitor server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection log and network traffic and report unusual or suspicious activity
    • Investigate suspicious activity until resolution
    • Collaborate with other technology associates to fully secure confidential information and systems as assigned

    Vulnerability Management

    • Assist with the daily operating and forensic activities of our IT Security program, including patch management, vulnerability scanning, threat detection and analysis, and remediation of security events
    • Stay current on emerging security threats and proactively communicate with leadership team

    Identity and Access Management

    • Develop and maintain identity and access management solutions/policies for the bank
    • Ensure least-privileged access is maintained where possible
    • Work with Engineers and Supervisor on strategic develop of future identity and access management needs

    Risk Assessment

    • Assist with penetration testing of all systems in order to identify system vulnerabilities
    • Participate in security configuration determinations and assist in implementation of upgrades and changes as necessary

    Tier 2 End User Support

    • Serve as tier 2 escalation to perform complex analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of technical security issues for end users
    • Design, recommend, and implement solutions
    • Ensure all phases of resolution are documented including testing, best solutions, and related follow up communication

    Other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job

    Requirements

    • College Degree or level of education that, together with industry experience, enables the applicant to meet the job requirements.
    • One to three years information security experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of the following technologies is required: working knowledge of SIEM platforms, malware applications (Windows Defender, Symantec, etc.), demonstrated experience with threat detection and analysis, patch management systems, Active Directory
    • Familiarity with the following technologies is preferred: VMware, Hypervisor, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), Office 365

    HOURS:

    40 hours per week

    Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
