Role Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated DBT Developer with a strong background in ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes to join our data team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the implementation of Snowflake with DBT, as part of our transition to a cloud-based data warehousing solution. Your expertise in DBT development and proficiency in SQL will be vital to the success of this project. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building databases within Snowflake, integrating Fivetran pipelines, and leveraging DBT for transformation and modeling.Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize ELT processes within a cloud-based Data Warehouse environment.Utilize your strong understanding of DBT to create and manage data models, transformations, and views that ensure efficient and accurate data consumption.Develop and maintain Fivetran data pipelines to ensure smooth data extraction and loading from various source systems into Snowflake.Craft, implement, and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data effectively, while ensuring data quality and integrity.Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data-related needs, and translate them into technical solutions using DBT and Snowflake.Design, develop, and maintain documentation for data models, transformations, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and team collaboration.Monitor and troubleshoot data integration, transformation, and loading processes to identify and resolve issues proactively.Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in cloud-based data warehousing, DBT, Snowflake, and related tools.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Proven experience as a DBT Developer or similar role with a focus on ELT processes and Snowflake data warehousing.Strong command of SQL for data manipulation, querying, and transformation.Hands-on experience building and managing data models, transformations, and views using DBT.Familiarity with cloud-based Data Warehousing solutions, particularly Snowflake.Previous exposure to Fivetran or similar data integration tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in ensuring data accuracy and quality.Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Prior experience in optimizing and troubleshooting data processes for performance and reliability.Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems is a plus.Preferred Qualifications:Certification in Snowflake or DBT is highly desirable.Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Knowledge of data governance practices and data security considerations in a cloud environment.If you are a proactive DBT Developer with a passion for working on complex data projects, excited about contributing to the successful implementation of Snowflake and DBT, and eager to collaborate in a forward-thinking data team, we encourage you to apply.
