Role Description:


The Data Center Automation Developer is tasked with establishing in-house applications, utilities, and scripts to support the design and delivery of the Global Data Center portfolio.

They are responsible for creating detailed proof-of-concept automations and applications used by internal and external stakeholders to perform quality control on Building Information Modeling (BIM) models and drawings.

The role requires familiarity with various automation methods, including Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python, C#, or JavaScript.

Key responsibilities include developing Dynamo and Python scripts for QC on BIM models and drawings, automating tasks to improve project efficiency, and building automation applications, plugins, and scripts for architectural and construction documents.

The developer collaborates with internal engineers, project managers, and external teams to complete Data Center delivery through automation support.

Additionally, they contribute to identifying new software technologies and systems to enhance data center design capabilities.


Competencies: Data Center Discovery and Migration

Experience (Years): 8-10

Essential Skills:

Proficiency in automation methods such as Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python, C#, or JavaScript
Ability to develop Dynamo and Python scripts for QC on BIM models and drawings
Understanding of CSA, MEPF, and low voltage/controls disciplines for programming automation
Strong problem-solving skills to develop appropriate automation solutions
Collaboration skills to work with internal and external teams for project completion
Desirable Skills:

Experience in engineering and construction-specific software programming, including databases, cloud-based solutions, laser scanning, and generative design
Familiarity with identifying new software technologies to enhance data center design capabilities
