Big Data Consultants report to the Consulting Manager, Data, Analytics & Machine Learning. You will help clients understand their environment, technical issues, and future demands. You will design and suggest ideas to help clients comprehend how the project will achieve their aims. Lead a team of Big Data Engineers to implement projects and establish innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead design sessions with customers and Mission Cloud to develop data engineering project strategy, architecture, and execution.
Create end-to-end modern data platforms for analytics and AI use cases for various clients.
Translate technical elements into business terms to explain the benefits of the proposed solution to clients.
Customer goals should guide strategic roadmaps and project planning.
Help Big Data Engineers and Architects simplify complex development plans into LOE estimates, design documentation, and project plans.
Manage customer roadmaps with Big Data Engineers to ensure project tasks are executed on schedule, well, and toward project goals.
Design data ingestion, storage, modeling, virtualization, self-service data preparation, and analytics pipelines.
Create client data privacy and security solutions
Create workflow orchestration with Jenkins, Airflow, and MLFlow.
Communicate complicated technological topics to clients and engineering teams in simple non-technical terms.
Help Project Managers set client expectations, synchronize, and manage deadlines.
Help pre-sales engineers design and position proposals, including defining a solution to a prospect's technical difficulties and estimating and planning projects for the business development team
Guide Big Data Engineers and junior consultants
Help improve Data Science & Engineering processes

Requirements
Ability to build and deploy creative data solutions using the newest Big Data frameworks, especially AWS.
Ability to use SQL, NoSQL, and data pipelines to optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading from structured, unstructured, and semi-structured sources for real-time, streaming, batch, and on-demand workloads.
Ability to create analytics/data management strategies, architectural blueprints, and business cases
SQL, Database, Data Modeling, Warehousing, and Development
Working with S3, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Glue, and Quicksight on AWS
Ability to use industry dashboarding and reporting tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
Team leadership, training, and mentoring of junior team members
Ability to implement data security, encryption, PII/PSI laws, identification, and access management across sources and environments
Required within 6 months of hire: AWS Data Analytics Specialty Certification
Professional certification required within 6 months of hiring for AWS Solution Architect
Additional AWS Specialty Certification in Data Analytics, Development, or Machine Learning within 1 year of hire.
