Job Description:

The client is driven by industry-leading agency services and cutting-edge direct mail production. We provide strategic direct marketing solutions for national brands, leveraging innovative variable data technology, to turn concepts into finished digital and physical products, all in one seamless process.

The role of the Data Processing Specialist is to organize and execute time-critical data driven by direct, interactive, and database marketing initiatives. Handling direct mail projects from receipt of raw data to output of production files, including data clean-up, data manipulation, and postal presort.

Responsibilities:

• Adheres to established quality control procedures.
• Ensures job tickets contain all information needed to properly work the job. Analyze job specs prior to job processing.
• Follows the Quality Controls steps set forth in the standard Data Processing Quality Control checklist.
• Compares input data to output data to ensure integrity in processing.
• Completes all paperwork and reports for downstream work centers and departments. Saves and archives all data department procedures.
• Communicating regularly with supervisor regarding job status and working on projects according to a designated priority order.
• A high level of problem-solving and analytical skills is absolutely critical.
• Performing additional duties as directed.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of object oriented programming.
• Strong Analytical skills.
• Knowledge of relational database scripting (SQL Information Services).
• Perform data validation and program configuration using SQL and Excel.
• Utilize SQL stored procedures and queries to automate manual procedures and analyze data.
• Understanding and recent usage of data analysis methodologies and techniques.
• Data Analysis and Process methodologies related to database direct marketing (RedPoint).
• Analyze and perform data processing requirements and procedures provided by Client facing accounts.
• Understanding of USPS mailing guidelines and regulations a plus.
