Data Scientist (Remote)

We have an immediate need for a contract Data Scientist to join a premier management consulting firm. The Data Scientist will collaborate with product design and engineering teams to develop and build AI based products.

Location: Remote

This job expects to pay about $60 - 65 per hour plus benefits.

What You Will Do: 

• Serve as data scientist to identify and integrate new datasets that can be leveraged through our product capabilities, and work closely with the engineering team in the development of AI products
• Execute analytical experiments to help solve problems across various domains and industries
• Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for client business needs, and collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variables
• Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big-data stores; perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy
• Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with clear objectives in mind
• Build and Implement analytical models in production by collaborating with software developers and machine-learning engineers

What Gets You The Job: 

• Bachelor's degree in quantitative field like Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field required. Advanced degree is a strong plus
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline
• Two or more years of project management experience with professional certification
• Five or more years of experience in data science
• Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
• Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modelling
• Experience with Un-Supervised, Supervised, Deep learning, NLP and Gen AI capabilities
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, research-oriented group that has several concurrent projects
• Experience in AWS based Cloud AI/ML/Gen AI cloud stack like AWS sagemaker, AWS EKS, AWS Bedrock, EMR etc.
• Experience in MLOPS capabilities would have a key advantage.
• Experience with container technologies (e.g. Docker) Experience in engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications, application security
