Do you want to help build the next generation network security solution? SixMap is a Maryland based cybersecurity company using high performance computing to automate cybersecurity. SixMap technology and capabilities significantly reduce the people-hours required to assess, operate, and defend computer networks. SixMap Computational Mapping (CM) supports Automated Network Management and Defense (ANMD) for the Enterprise. Solely from the name of any organization or network name, SixMap provides enterprise discovery, network discovery, and host discovery then generates solution playbooks for Enterprise scale networks operating in IPv4-only, dual-stack, and IPv6-only environments. To be successful in this role, the candidate must understand: - The acquisition and management of our data is the core driver for our business. You will team up to ensure we maintain high confidence and integrity of network data while handling volumes at global internet scale.
- Drive the technical direction of our data strategy across a variety of use cases blending the best technologies
- Partner to evolve the pipelines and systems that collect, store, retrieve, and enable analysis of large-scale network data.
- Establish and elevate the processes, tooling, and documentation that drive monitoring, governance, and validation of our dataflows and storage systems
Requirements - Be an expert in designing and building data store strategies using relational, NoSQL, and graph data stores for OLTP and OLAP use cases for structured and unstructured data. You are able to articulate the tradeoffs and provide data-driven verification of proposed solutions
- You have strong expertise in writing, profiling, optimizing, and benchmarking SQL
- You have experience in designing and executing database migrations, supporting schema evolution, and partnering to successfully roll out retrieval across an organization
- You have written and shipped production code in at least one programming language and are open to using and learning others.
- Strong skill sets working in distributed systems and understanding how/when to apply partitioning and sharding
- Proven ability to be a self-starter, mission-focused, and thrive in ambiguity
- Strong communication skills with comfort working in a fast-growing environment.
- Strong ownership over your domain and being able to uplift the broader engineering organization through knowledge sharing and documentation
