Attadale is a leading business operations consultancy at the intersection of operations, analysis, and AI and we seek an experienced data visualization specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

• This is a client facing role and you will work with Attadale's clients to build beautiful and informative interactive data visualizations, online applications and information graphics
• You will serve a key role in client teams, translating client requirements into beautifully crafted solutions. Partnering with engineers, data scientists and business analysts, you will influence executable solutions balancing optimal design opportunities, identifying constraints and limitations, and exploring technical options
• Translate user requirements into interactive interfaces for applications/products.
• Be a technology guide: Help clients understand whats possible and whats best given their content, data, and audiences.
• Help make Attadale options better, including internal apps, developing toolkits, and serving as a subject matter expert to raise the visualization standards of Attadale

The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about data visualization and have formal creative design academics and experience, in addition to the technology skills. They will be capable of engineering cutting-edge digital experiences for Attadales clients and present complex data to executives, analysts, and consumers, through well designed, simple, and beautiful digital products.

This position is for an engineer who has the ability to be as effective writing code as they are in talking to clients and collaborating with designers, project managers, and data scientists. They will possess a combination of programming skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and aesthetic sensibility.

You must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in digital graphic design or data visualization (or equivalent experience)
• Expertise in beginner friendly software such as Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Power Apps, or Tableau
• Expertise in more customizable software such as D3 or Django.
• Expertise in graphic design and multimedia support
• Experience in developing digital interface products such as dashboards, interactive graphic tools, and interactive user interface
• Expertise in development of optimal user experience design products.
• Demonstrated ability to critically analyze technical advantages and limitations of various formats, styles, media, and methods of information reproduction.

Additionally you will have the following:

• You have 5+ years as an experienced software or data visualization engineer.
• Passion for, and experience and interest in data visualization, information graphics and familiarity with full-stack development using technologies such as Python, NodeJs, and AWS/Google Cloud/Azure.
• General data wrangling skills.
• Experience and passion for novel implementations of Microsoft's Power Platform as a data democratization tool
• Knowledge or experience with modern SPA (Single Page Application) JS frameworks such as React, Angular, and/or Vue.
• Fluency in approaches to a wide variety of interactive products, and the ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new ones.
• Able to take a bespoke wireframe, turn it into an interactive, mobile-responsive web app and deploy it.
• Experience in creating the most suitable data models for the front-end driven by the design approaches.
• Fluent in Javascript or Typescript. You have a passion for learning and self-improvement.
• Ability to quickly test out and share ideas using prototyping tools like Observable and/or Storybook.
• Strive to develop accessible code with comprehensive tests and thorough documentation.
• Strive to write elegant, adaptable, and reusable code.
• Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously with an interdisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and project managers.

Bonus expertise and passions include:

• Experience building map-based visualizations using Mapbox, Leaflet, and/or OpenLayers
• Experience using static site generators such as Gatsby and Next.js
• Experience developing web solutions using CMS approaches such as WordPress and Drupal. Advanced site-building experience including deep familiarity with Drupal modules and managing technical aspects of the CMS
• Experience with Three.js or other WebGL libraries
