Role Title: Sr Data Designer and Developer



Purpose of Role/Organizational Unit: This is a senior position that requires 8+ years of data development. This organizational unit is responsible for managing architecture, development, and operational services delivery of the various elements of the big data and analytics management including Informatica ETL Jobs. In this capacity, this Senior Informatica ETL Developer role is responsible for implementing Informatica Services.



Functions Performed:

The following functions are the responsibility of the Senior Informatica ETL Developer within data management team. This individual will be responsible to design and develop ETL jobs, perform code reviews, enhance standards, performance tuning, code migrations from dev to QA and production.



Position Responsibilities

• Has expertise in various Informatica suite of products: PowerCenter, Big Data Edition, PowerExhange(CDC), and Data Quality.

• Expertise on ETL performance tuning

• Design responsibility for Operational and Data Warehouse ETLs

• Oracle and SQL knowledge is must

• Experiences with various tools such as Informatica Data Quality and Profiler Tools are preferred, but PowerCenter is must.



Skills Required:

•  Minimum of 8 years in Informatica tools and with focus in performance tuning


•  Experience with Informatica PowerCenter, Big Data Edition, PowerExchange (CDC), Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)


•  Creation of complex parallel loads and dependency creation using work flows


•  Data modeling and data mapping design experience


•  Experience in PL/SQL and conversion of PL/SQL into Informatica

Unique Competencies:

•  Required – 8+ years’ experience in Informatica PowerCenter


•  Preferred - Informatica Big Data Edition, PowerExchange (CDC), Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) v10 or higher tools architecture and design


•  Preferred – 2+ years’ experience in data lake development including Cloudera


•  Preferred – 1+ years’ experience in reporting and analytics i.e. BusinessObjects, QlikView, Tableau

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
