Job Title: Data Warehouse Support Engineer Location: Remote (EST) Duration: Contract Job Details: Job Description:
RTI International Enterprise Data and Analytics team has an opening for a contract position to support our Data Warehouse (DW) Environments This role will support a complex DW running a SQL 2017 environment utilizing SSIS & Integration Services Catalog to support continuous ETL operations.
Responsibilities: Design, build and deploy effective SSIS packages. Support of DW Operations including monitoring & troubleshooting. Translate requirements from the business and analysts into technical code. Identify and test for bugs and bottlenecks in the ETL solution. Ensure the best possible security, performance, and quality in the SSIS packages development and deployment. Provide support and fix issues in the integration pipelines. Exposure working with Web Service Calls and C#. Support Business Intelligence Applications (Power BI, Cognos) as required.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field and 7-10 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and IT work experience with in-depth knowledge - SSIS, DW Operations. Certifications (or relevant course work if no certification available) in Microsoft SQL & Database Technologies. Data Warehouse Operations Support experience A deep understanding SSIS Development and working with Integrations Services Catalog Experience working in a fast-paced environment providing Data Warehousing Support. Experience with API or rest services integrations with an understanding of how to implement solutions with multiple data sources. Strong SQL Scripting skills
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities: Demonstrated knowledge or skills in interfacing with end users. Advanced troubleshooting techniques and software design. Ability to work well with others. Ability to listen and communicate well in English both verbally and in writing. Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel. Ability to multi-task. Ability to work independently. Attention to detail and accuracy.
