Architect, install, configure, optimize and manage enterprise-wide SQL Server 2005, 2008 R2, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2019 instances. Responsible for migrations and upgrades for SQL Server versions, backups, and SQL Index Maintenance. Ensure High Availability by setting up and managing Windows and SQL Server clustering for mission-critical systems. Configure and manage always-on availability groups for critical databases on an instance. Set up database mirroring, log shipping, and replication. Architect and design disaster recovery solutions based on business continuity plans. Install, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot SSIS packages. Manage security, including view rights and complete deployment rights. Setup and configure SSRS. Perform monitoring and alerting for SQL Server performance and availability. Partial virtual / work from home benefit available.
Requires a Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and 3 years of database administration experience (or a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field and 5 years of database administration experience). Must have experience with: 2016-2019 SQL Server Database installation, configuration, administration, production, and support; Supporting the management and upgrading of DPA and Idera tools; DDBoost; Service Now; backups and restores; Performance tuning; Access provisioning; change control and user request support; audit and compliance support; automation development; alerting and monitoring enhancements; mentoring new employees; and, on-call support.
