Higher Grounds Christian Preschool is seeking a School Age Teacher/Floater/Van Driver to join our staff. Must be able to interact with children on their level. Must be able to work 40 hours a week and have reliable transportation.

 

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age

High school diploma or GED

Current CPR and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain within 90 days employment

Obtain/Maintain current Oklahoma Professional Development Ladder (OPDL) certificate

Valid Drivers License-must provide Motor Vehicle Record

Fingerprints and Background Check required

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

School Age Teacher: Develop and implement lesson plans-be comfortable in teaching religiously based curriculum. Manage After School Care program from Aug-May and Summer Blast School Age Program May-Aug. Assist children with homework, if needed. Provide fun and energetic learning environment.

Floater: Assist teachers throughout the day. Give lunch breaks to teachers as scheduled by management. Maintain flexibility regarding scheduled assignments during the day.

Van Driver: Follow established schedule and routes to transport children to and from school. Observe all Department of Motor Vehicle rules and regulations and speed limits. Complete vehicle inspections and notify director of any maintenance issues. Keep the vehicle clean after each use and ensure the safety of children at all times. Complete passenger logs as children enter and depart the vehicle.
