The Role:
Were looking for a strong Delivery Manager to lead the implementation of a portfolio of large, strategic projects. The role is based at our Calgary headquarters and will work directly with our founders and executives across the entire organization.
In a high-growth startup, youll need to be a dynamic team player who has the ability to plan, coordinate and adapt quickly as priorities change. This isnt a traditional, corporate style role. Youll have your pulse on the larger picture at all times while leading teams through the execution to get there. In this role, youll be coordinating across our various departments to ensure success on our highest impact projects. Youll be a master at keeping teams aligned and motivated, helping them understand how their work fits to project goals and deliverables. Youll have the opportunity to make your mark alongside some of Canadas most passionate, talented people.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage cross-functional business engineering programs in a matrix organization covering a range of products across all lines of the business
- Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and oversee the delivery of activities across teams
- Work with leadership to prioritize and scope work with completion dates and then defining the phases and timing leading up to each deployment
- Interface with engineering teams and cross-functional partners for project requirements and scope
- Manage the relationship and communication with partners throughout the program implementation and delivery process
- Take part in defining the roadmap and long-term strategy of the teams that you are working with
- Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions
Who we're looking for:
- 5+ years of relevant project management experience
- Experience working with technical management teams
- An engineering, business or related degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience seeing projects through the full lifecycle
- Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience managing with external vendors and negotiating contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics
