Delta Data Software is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and skilled Operations Engineer. As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring all systems and processes are running smoothly and efficiently. In addition, this is an exciting opportunity to learn Azure Cloud computing as our company is currently in the process of migrating to the cloud. You will have the chance to gain hands-on experience with the latest cloud technologies.

This is a full-time position with preferred work hours between 8AM 5PM US Eastern Time.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
• Supporting on premise production environments
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Responding to system alerts
• Install and configure new software and hardware
• Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing
• Provide technical support to end-users
• Collaborate with other IT professionals and teams to solve complex problems
• Active Directory Administration
• Azure cloud configuration using Terraformand GitHub
• Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS)

Requirements

• B.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline
• 4+ years of experience in technical support or a related field
• Strong technical background in hardware, software, and networking
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V (preferred) or VMware
• Experience with Windows networking, subnetting, and firewall routing
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
• Scripting and/or automation
