Deployment Support Technician Location: US-NY-Buffalo Email this job to a friend

- Work on support tickets assigned from the company Help Desk Ticketing System, updating the system with work performed
- Image / provision laptops, desktops, VoiP phones and VDI systems for new employees, ensure that all machines are properly configured for employee first use
- Backup and Transfer data from old systems to new systems
- Check in and inventory of all new PC equipment & peripherals
- Maintain inventory of assets in our asset management software
- Install software updates and security patches on client computers
- Provides technical assistance to resolve issues related to computer hardware and software, including printing and Windows / Mac operating systems
- Basic knowledge of NTFS, File/Folder permissions and privileged access
- Assists with PC and peripheral setups for customer walkups
- Work with waste vendors to decommission / recycle old assets
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements - Associate degree in IT related discipline or a minimum of 2 years' experience on a technical Service Desk
- Minimum of 2 years in a customer service role
- Minimum of 1 year supporting Windows 7/10 on a Service Desk
- Working knowledge of computer diagnostic utilities
- Basic knowledge of commercial software licensing agreements
- Understanding of Active Directory objects for management of users and computers
- Must have good customer service and teamwork skills, a positive attitude, good judgement, technical and analytical aptitude
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- COMPTIA A+ or Network+
- Familiarity with deploying Windows 10 and Microsoft Intune.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
- Prior Experience with VMWare View Administrator, Office 365 and IT Asset Management

Compensation RangeThe anticipated compensation range for this position is $18 - 23 hourly. Many factors will be taken into consideration when determining the compensation rate for a potential new employee such as education, training, experience, work location, etc.
