WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

This year has magnified the social issues our nation is facing in a way we’ve never seen before. When the number of food-insecure college students jumped to nearly 60% because of COVID-19, the need for CfH increased exponentially. We’ve pivoted our programming online and stepped up our advocacy efforts to promote massive change on college campuses to increase SNAP benefits and promote Hunger-Free Campuses across the US. As the world changes, we’ve changed with it. We “knead” an experienced professional to help support the day-to-day management and operations; helping us to strategically evaluate and grow our systems and operations to match our growing program and staff. The Deputy Director will serve as a thought-partner and #2 to the Executive Director and support strategic planning and growth.
