Description

Robert Half has a Desktop Support Technician role open that you might be interested in, if you have the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format. This Desktop Support Technician role is best suited for problem solvers who prefer to work in a challenging and positive environment. Located in the Manchester, Connecticut, area, this Desktop Support Analyst role is long-term contract / contract / contract / temporary in nature.

Your responsibilities in this role

- Arrange hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors

- Resolve computer problems, and give guidance on appropriate action/solutions

- Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities

- Deliver computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

- Be in contact regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

- Provide support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

- Retain, investigate, and restore computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals

Requirements

- Experience writing procedure manuals, user instructions, business correspondence, and general report writing

- 1+ years of desktop support or other related experience

- Microsoft experience preferred

- Solid understanding of Ticketing System

- Deep understanding of Active Directory
