We are looking for qualified team members to install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality. You will also train end-users on how to appropriately and safely use the IT infrastructure. A successful Desktop Support Team Member must thoroughly know computer software and hardware and various internet applications, networks, and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology in business sustainability.

Responsibilities

As a technician, your duties include setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices such as routers and printers. To ensure everything functions correctly, you must check the computer hardware, including HDD, mouses, and keyboards. Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications while ensuring the security and privacy of networks and computer systems is also part of the job. You will need to provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment. It is also required to organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without interfering with workflows during peak operations. When problems arise, you must perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve issues, which may entail repairing or replacing parts or debugging. Maintaining records/logs of repairs and fixes and the maintenance schedule is also essential.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements: one year of experience in the field or proven work experience, knowledge of helpdesk processes and customer service, excellent communication skills, outstanding organizational and time-management skills, ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions, hands-on experience with all workstation versions of Windows, familiarity with Mac OS environments, and understanding of diverse computer systems and networks. It would be best if you also had experience in Active Directory management, working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals like printers and scanners, knowledge of network security practices, anti-virus programs, and data privacy principles, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite setup and repair, excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, and certification as an IT Technician (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) would be an advantage.
