Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Analyst to join our growing team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative and analytical skills, as well as a passion for real estate development and community building. As a Development Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our acquisition, development, and financing efforts, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the underwriting and financial analysis of potential development projects, including creating and maintaining financial models in Excel.
2. Conduct market research and gather demographic data to identify potential development opportunities and assess the viability of projects.
3. Assist in the due diligence process for acquisitions, including reviewing legal documents, zoning information, and environmental reports.
4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as architects, engineers, and consultants, to develop project plans and timelines.
5. Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and other materials for internal and external audiences.
6. Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
7. Participate in community outreach and engagement efforts to ensure our projects align with local needs and priorities.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
2. 0-3 years of experience in real estate development, investment, or finance.
3. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial modeling.
4. Familiarity with Argus or similar real estate software is a plus.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
6. Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
8. Passion for community-focused housing development and a commitment to creating inclusive and sustainable communities.
