Development Engineer (Linux)

Emergency Care Professional (EC Pro) products are integral to monitoring and providing medical therapy to patients in the pre-hospital environment.


Your role:


Developing software specifications for innovative, leading-edge EC Pro vital signs monitors based on requirements from current products, user / business needs, and latest regulatory standards. The role is design focused and requires background domain knowledge of embedded software in medical devices.

Supporting the software engineering for EC Pro products: including leading and supporting software development activities throughout the lifecycle. This includes contributing to planning, specifications, enhancing system and software features and behaviour.

Maintaining team relationships and working technically with software related suppliers and with counterparts in EC Pro.

Youre right for this role if:


You have a background in Linux, a working knowledge of software verification/validation and the ability to present, write and review engineering documents.

Your career has been spent in a regulated industry, ideally medical devices, but will also consider Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Automotive or similar.

Your Engineering degree (or similar) is in a relevant technical specialty and is supported by commercial experience in the software development lifecycle.

You have a flexible attitude, willing to accept & drive change, working with ambiguity, frequent changed and a rigorous approach to problem solving.
