Description/Comment:

  • The Development Scientist II develops methods for the production and testing of new products. This entails developing new product designs, processes, new product scale-up, design/product optimization, technology transfer, and process/product validation activities. Will also develop production procedures and process/product specifications.

The essential requirements of this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Science Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or other relevant baccalaureate degree and 9+ years of relevant working experience, or Master's degree(s) and 7+ years of relevant experience, or Ph.D. and 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience designing/testing hematology controls is a plus
  • Working in a GMP & GLP medical, pharmaceutical or chemical laboratory/ experienced in general laboratory workflow
  • Capability to review and analyze scientific results
  • Knowledge of basic laboratory statistics
  • Project planning skills
  • Able to lift 40 lbs unassisted
  • Experience with the following laboratory test equipment: pH meter, Osmometer, Conductivity Meter, Spectrophotometer, HPLC (preferred), Beckman Coulter Particle Counter (preferred)

It would be plus if you also possess the following:

  • Experience with Hematology Results, including CBC, 5 Part Differential, and Flagging
  • Experience leading technical teams is preferred. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams is critical.

Additional Job Details:

  • Onsite On-site position! Covid-19 Update (Extremely Important): All "active" workers and working currently in the on-boarding process, will need to be fully vaccinated regardless, if they are on-site or remote workers. This includes all series of the vaccination (1 or 2 shots depending on who they get the vaccination through plus any boosters that are due).
  • ALL CONTRACTORS NEED TO BE FULLY VACCINATED PLUS 14 DAYS BEFORE THEY ARE ABLE TO WORK! The deadline for the required vaccination including the 14 days after the last dose of the vaccination is December 8, 2021. We strongly encourage you to have your workers start the process as soon as possible, if they are not currently vaccinated. After December 8, 2021, if your worker is not fully vaccinated, they will be placed on a 30 day (unpaid) leave to get through the process to be able to resume work. After 30 days, if they are still not vaccinated their contingent assignment will be ended per the request of the client.
  • All tracking will be housed by Staffing Employer of Record. Our team will ask for this proof of vaccination at the time of the Audit. Religious and Medical Accommodations will need to be processed by the Staffing Employer just like any work accommodations under their employment. Please work with your HR team to define this new process on your end. The PMO is still pending and update on the client adjudication guidelines from the client (including all OpCo's).
