1 Resource Group, a agency specializing in Professional and Skilled Trades positions across the United States, and has partnered up with a Direct Hire client, who is seeking an experienced Division Accounting Manager to lead their accounting teams in Florida. The ideal person will be from Sarasota, Bradenton, Fort Myers, FL locations and can sit in any of the three Florida offices. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the division's financial performance and overseeing accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all accounting operations for the division
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop budgets and financial plans
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis summarizing current and projected financial performance
• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations
• Hire, train, and develop accounting staff
• Implement and maintain accounting systems and controls
• Provide recommendations for process improvements and increased efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification strongly preferred
• At least 7 years of experience in accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a management position
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with ERP software and advanced proficiency in Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
