Telecom Draftsman
A Telecom Draftsman is required to provide drafting support to the Telecommunications team. This contractor will have the responsibility of developing complete and accurate engineering drawing sets for the construction and amendment of telecommunication facilities based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures. These services will be performed according to a defined statement of work.
Activities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the collection of data and incorporate this information into drawings and schematics.
- Interpret Telecommunications drawings.
- Maintain work tracking system.
- Quality Assurance
Minimum Requirements for this position include the following:
- An Associate of Applied Science Degree in Architectural design and drafting; OR
- Certificate in Computer Aided Design and Drafting and one year experience working in a CAD Specialist position or the equivalent, producing plans and specifications and using a CAD system; OR
- A minimum of four (4) years' experience working in a CAD Specialist position or the equivalent, producing plans and estimates using a CAD system.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
Experience:
- Enhanced proficiency in AutoCad, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrated flexibility in day to day work.
- Adheres to corporate standards and policies as defined by Business Unit.
- Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans and manages time effectively
