EEG Tech - Bismarck , ND



Contract : 13+ weeks



Shift Schedules:




  • 8 hour days: 0700-1530. rotating call every 3 weeks with possibility of more. Call runs from Tuesday at 4:30p to the following Tuesday at 8:00 am (excluding work hours).





General job duties:




  • Conduct tests or studies such as electroencephalography (EEG), evoked  potentials (EP)  and opportunities to assist with day polysomnography ( PSG) tests if experience.

  • Prepare patients physically for medical procedures.

  • Follows pre-established patient safety guidelines.

  • Submit reports to physicians summarizing test results.

  • Monitors stock levels of medical equipment and restocks or reorders as needed.

  • Explains safety and sterilization issues associated with the use of medical equipment.

  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, or repair equipment and correct malfunctions as needed.

  • Documents defective equipment and reports it to an appropriate supervisor.

  • Detects and summarizes patterns in data and findings by producing simple reports.

  • Follows proper data gathering and analysis processes and policies.





Equipment utilized in the unit/dept:




  • Epic (Onechart),  Natus Xltek





Required skills and minimum years of experience:




  • 1 Year of experience in the field of neurodiagnostics





Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required:




  • Active BLS required - must be American Heart Association

  • R. EEG T, Preferred, but not required. RPSGT preferred but not required





Shift or schedule requirements.




  • Employee will work with group of 1-2 techs in hospital during the range of hours between  7am-5pm. Rotating on-call schedule for EEG

  •  224 beds

  • Our neurodiagnostic department currently has 1 EEG technologist, and 1 Supervisor. The neurodiagnostic department provides hospital inpatient EEGs, ICU long-term monitoring, and outpatient EEGs and evoked potential studies. We are a rapidly growing hospital and our Neurodiagnostic Department is accredited by the American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists. Our Sleep Disorder Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine
