Responsibilities
- Support a culture of excellence in safety and environmental management through effective communication and employee engagement. Drives actions in pursuit of a Zero Incident culture.
- Execute EHS management systems which includes the corporate EHS directives, ISO certification requirements, and any other applicable EHS management system certifications or elements.
- Report EHS performance against targets and goals, regulatory reporting, and corporate, business unit and customer required reporting.
- Manage the EHS training program for applicable training required across the business unit from employee to leader. Ensures all personnel have required certifications.
- Work with site personnel to track risk and incident data, assess risks and use structured problem solving to determine root cause, and eliminate risk throughout the facility.
- Coordinate an EHS corrective action program, to include EHS audits, regulatory inspections, customer EHS audits and other assessments that identify EHS issues requiring corrective action.
- Act as onsite contact for local, state, and federal government agencies.
- Lead an EHS program for change management which includes new processes, equipment, materials and people.
- Supports awareness and integration of EHS into other functional areas such as Lean, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, etc.

Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree (Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health is preferred) is required.
- 5+ years of successful EHS experience.
- 3+ years of leadership.
- Must come from a manufacturing environment… preferably industrial… Aerospace, Automotive, Machinery, Energy, etc.
