Job description:
The Database Developer/Administrator will provide support on projects including designing, building, and maintaining complex ETL. This position is responsible for data reporting, converting customer requests into technical details, and ensuring deliverable commitments are met. This position works with clients and leadership at various levels within the organization to research and identify operational business requirements with sufficient detail and clarity to allow the development of the data or reporting solutions needed. This role requires a broad range of skills and the ability to step into different roles depending on the size and scope of the project.
- Designing and developing SSIS / SQL ETL solutions to acquire and prepare data from numerous upstream systems
- Debug and tune SSIS or other ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient movement of data
- Set up SQL Agent jobs where feasible for automated execution of the SSIS jobs
- Examine database tables and data to insure the data consistency and database integrity
- Perform data backup, restore, and database administration on SQL Server and Azure SQL databases
- Works with business users and other stakeholders to understand business processes, and translates them into functional and non-functional specifications
Knowledge of Solar Winds Task Factory product
Preferred:
SQL Server and Azure SQL administration
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent 3+ years of experience developing ETL jobs in SQL Server Ability to develop SSIS packages, SSAS data warehouses and cubes, T-SQL, and SQL stored procedures Knowledge and skills in using SSMS, SQL Server, SQL Agent Ability to manipulate data and manage database integrity
Preferred:
- SQL Server and Azure SQL administration
Knowledge of Solar Winds Task Factory product
