Scanning Pens is seeking a friendly and driven Sales Consultant who is looking to move into the world of Assistive Tech within the education sector. As a member of our company, youll be a part of promoting assistive reading technology and supporting neurodiverse individuals throughout the world. Our story began in 2003, when two guys passionate about tech founded Scanning Pens, an eCommerce business for selling tech products. Recognizing the potential of smart pen scanners to help individuals with dyslexia, the team expanded their focus to assistive technology and began working with Swedish-based C-Pen. Weve grown exponentially since then, with over 100 staff members across the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and India. Our mission is to spread awareness of neurodiversity and encourage a love of reading for years to come.

This is a little more than an entry level sales role, it is perfect if you have been in sales, love selling and are looking for a new challenge that will be making a difference.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed company targets in the education sector
  • Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with key decision-makers in schools, universities, and other educational institutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts by providing exceptional customer service and support
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs in the EdTech market
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to promote Scanning Pens and increase brand awareness

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in outside sales or a related field
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • You must be able to travel nationally and attend shows which can be over weekends and evenings. Typically 3 days per week and occasionally to different States for a 3-5 day duration.
