The different Regional Strategic Study Centers build on the strong bilateral relationships between the United States and countries in different regions worldwide by focusing on a multilateral approach to addressing regional security concerns and issues. It is designed to meet the knowledge needs of national security professionals by providing a forum for rigorous examination of the challenges that shape the security environment of the different regions around the world. This is a Hybrid position
In this role, a typical day will include:
Leading online distance learning with faculty and staff in the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of interactive hybrid instruction programs to audiences within different regions.
Research and recommend the use of learning technologies to support the delivery of conferences, programs, and seminars.
Working in collaboration with IT and media/communications to lead efforts to create, edit, and review academic content for completeness and compliance with standards; design and conduct evaluations of conferences, programs, and seminars; revise course content based on participant feedback.
In conjunction with IT specialist, training and assisting faculty and staff in the operation of virtual learning technologies; supporting program execution; and support troubleshooting as required.
Requirements
WHAT YOULL NEED:
Minimal Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in communications, education technology, marketing, or other bachelors degree with relevant work experience.
- Two to three years of communication, education, or training development experience within academia or U.S. Government.
- Proficient in methodologies and technologies used in virtual learning, including Blackboard and Zoom.
- Experience in developing content for virtual learning.
Desired qualification:
- Masters degree in Education Technology.
- Experience in implementing Learning Management Systems in academia or Government settings.
