Description

Typical Duties/responsibilities:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Performs special assembly operations like valve assembly & heat tracing assembly.
• Performs additional operation such as hydro testing and bead blasting.
• Create testing and functional reports as needed.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies. On the job training to understand different chamber configurations and specifications by assembly lead.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 3+ years up to including 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or a plant assembly environment
• Frequently lifting or moving average weight material.
• Occasionally lifting heavy weight material.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Associates' degree in a technical field or Technical Certification
• Be self-motivated, communicate well and have the willingness and adaptability to work under varying conditions.
