Support the development of new products by leveraging strong electrical / electronic aptitude to refine and evolve innovative concepts for underwater and topside robotic video surveillance products under supervision of an operations or engineering manager. Design work will include the following areas: power conversion, digital and analog control, video, microcontrollers, PCB layout, EMI, and safety agency approvals, while implementing and maintaining engineering design standards and processes. Provide sales & production support through the efficient investigation of issues to determine appropriate solutions and processing of engineering change orders (ECO's). Create new design concepts, layouts, and solutions that meet the customer needs or company defined specifications. Design electronic circuits working with electronic design automation software packages (i.e Altium) for printed circuit board, FPGA, embedded software designs, BOMs, wiring harnesses, and systems, including necessary supporting calculations and considerations. Produce design and documentation schemes compliant with the design intent for detailing and act as approver of subsequent documentation. Define and implement project plans in accordance with the clients needs or company new product plans from startup, through to execution and delivery. Provide technical support to other engineering, production, and sales groups and recommend process improvements for technical issues. Participate in design reviews and maintain schedules. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and investigative reports. Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Design, evaluate, install, operate and maintain subassemblies, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations. Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess operation condition effects, possible new applications, and necessity of modification. Adhere to internal company procedures. Understand and apply relevant design, regulatory, and industry standards. Develop intellectual capital for company in the form of new products, technologies, procedures, and white papers on technology, methodologies, and industry trends.

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline followed by five (5) years of progressive experience in the specialty field.
