We are seeking an Electrical Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our facility in Pittston. PA.

An Industrial Maintenance Mechanic maintains and repairs power plants, factory equipment, conveying systems, and all sorts of manufacturing machinery.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that equipment is maintained in a safe and secure manner, following all safety procedures and regulations.
  • LOTO (Lock out Tag out) knowledge
  • Interpreting engineering blueprints
  • Completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements
  • Installing industrial machinery
  • Observing mechanical devices in operation to locate the sources of problems and ensure the proper functioning of the machines
  • Running basic diagnostic tests to detect minor problems
  • Troubleshooting engines, conveyors, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic and electrical equipment
  • Disassembling machinery and equipment when needed
  • Removing defective components and replacing them with new ones
  • Adjusting and calibrating machinery to improve productivity
  • Cleaning and lubricating the equipment and machinery
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment for everyone
  • Collecting and summarizing analyses, activity logs with detail such as dates, type of maintenance performed on what machine, any parts that need or were replaced, and trends for maintenance reports

Work Conditions

  • Climate controlled some what. Still want to dress for the weather.
  • Clean environment but could get your hands/ clothes dirty due to job functions and machinery
  • Minimum 25-50 lbs. but heavy lifting on occasion will be involved
  • Will be required to bend, lift, pivot, reach, etc.
  • Working in well lit area at all times

Education

  • Technical education in a related field such as industrial mechanics, electrical/mechanical engineering, etc. Equivalent # of years' experience may be considered in lieu of technical education.

Knowledge & Experience

  • At least 2 - 3 years hands-on experience with machinery and equipment repair.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use software programs related to maintenance and repair.
  • Fundamentals of electricity
  • Mechanical reasoning or strong knowledge of mechanical concepts (force & movement, velocity, pulleys, gears, and wheels)
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and use hand and power tools.
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
