We are looking for an experienced E&I Maintenance Technician to join our new state-of-the art Injection molding plant! Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the selected candidate will be performing electrical and instrumentation machinery and facility maintenance activities, while enhancing safety, product quality, production output and cost control to achieve plant goals.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Requires specialized knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, and theoretical mechanics.
  • Able to troubleshoot, read and modify mechanical blueprints and perform root cause analysis for plant equipment.
  • Must be familiar with ordering MRO materials.
  • Understanding of rigging.
  • Perform shop inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Requires ability to design and specify materials.
  • Requires adequate fabrication/millwright/mechanical hand tools.
  • Requires strong ability to instruct and lead others.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned
  • Successful candidate must complete a background check and drug screening.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Completion of high school education or equivalent.
  • Electrical License or State/Federal approved Journeymans Card is an asset.
  • An Associates Degree in electronics or similar degree is an asset.
  • Must have 8 years verifiable electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, piping, and/or welding experience.
  • Previous injection molding experience is a plus
Working conditions
  • Requires a high degree of mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, reaching, twisting, bending, climbing, and lifting to 50-75 lbs.
  • Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat or cold, dust, noise levels and the use of equipment such as sharp tools.
