We are seeking an Electro / Mechanical Assembler to become an for Industrial Capacitor Test and Termination equipment! 



You will perform assembly line tasks as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. 



Manage, make and correct work instructions from basic assembly instructions to install parts and hardware using hand tools and fixtures as needed, on equipment in a manufacturing area. May serve as a primary trainer for other assemblers on specific job functions. All functions from board assembly and soldering, to frame assembly, to build a working system is possible.



Responsibilities:




  • Perform all operations in Assembly as the independent sole person.

  • Cross trained in multiple work centers (e.g. Final Assembly, Sub Assembly, etc...).

  • May be a lead assembler with assistance.

  • Trains other assemblers on specific job functions.

  • Models continuous improvement behaviors for peers.

  • Write up non conforming issues and escalate issues to engineering with recommended design improvement 

  • Complete rework independently using appropriate equipment

  • Provides documented feedback on work instructions through redline process

  • Performs programming and/or inline testing of designated assemblies or subassemblies

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Provides information and responds in a timely manner to supervisors and co-workers by telephone/written form/e-mail/in person

  • Actively participates in meetings and training

  • Identify and communicate production issues both verbally and in writing, may communicate to customers or field service engineers.

  • Suggests continuous improvements by communicating verbally/in writing to appropriate groups/locations



     



Qualifications:




  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields

  • Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment

  • Ability to handle physical workload

  • Ability to work well in teams

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Minimum 4 year electro mechanical assembly experience using hand tools and schematics/blueprints. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.



Preferred Skills / Qualifications:




  • Hands on self motivated friendly person who can work in a small company next to engineers and management. Able to use a computer to look up parts needed, bill of materials and work instructions. Work from limited documentation to build outstanding systems for our customers.
