Colden Corporation is an occupational health, safety and environmental consulting firm owned and managed by practicing Certified Industrial Hygienists and Certified Safety Professionals. We are a dynamic and growing business, seeking experienced individuals to join our team serving premiere clients. Job Description: Colden is seeking individuals with Emergency Response experience to support the Emergency Response Team (ERT) at a client manufacturing site in the Burlington, Vermont area. These are part-time or on-call positions to fill shifts based on candidate availability. A sign-on bonus is being offered for candidates that complete the hiring and site badging process payable after providing initial ERT support for a minimum of twenty-four hours. These positions are located at a high tech, fast-paced manufacturing site, working as part of the clients Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) department. Responsibilities may include: - Respond to fires, odor reports, medical incidents, hazardous material spills, confined space rescues, or other site emergencies within the limits of assigned role, training, and capabilities.
- Maintain and inspect site emergency response equipment.
- Perform fire and life safety inspections. Recommend measures to reduce or eliminate potential fire hazards, or to improve emergency detection or response capabilities.
- Perform activities in a safe and responsible manner, following the site procedures and requirements.
- Complete other assigned tasks to support the emergency preparedness and response programs, and clients EHS&S objectives and activities.
Requirements Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma and or GED Equivalent or Military Experience
- Current and valid driver's license
- Current licenses/certifications as a Firefighter and Hazardous Materials Technician (HAZWOPER)
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), paramedic, or Certified First Responder
- Active interior firefighter or prior experience as a Firefighter or Volunteer Firefighter
- Hazardous materials emergency response or other ERT experience
- Physical capacity demands including ability to lift over 125 lbs. and use a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)
