WHAT THIS JOB IS LIKE

• Hours based on the needs of the people you support. Employment Specialists work with people to help them find the job that is meaningful for them. Establish a schedule that works for you and the people you support!
• Meaningful work that matters(link removed) As an Employment Specialist, youll work with your team to help people find jobs. This position will have a focus on working with people who are interested in self-employment and entrepreneurship.
  • Case Management(link removed) Youll get to know each client, their family, and their team personally.
  • Training. Provide training and assistance on how to develop a small business plan including things like market research, development of a marketing plan, budgeting, etc.

Requirements

Every member of the MSS team is a unique individual, but here are three things you have in common with every member of our team:

• Youre caring. Youre patient and encouraging around people who have different needs. You believe that everyone deserves to have a good life, no matter what challenges they are facing.
• Youre experienced. You meet Minnesotas requirements as a Designated Coordinator under 245D. You understand the complexities of disability services, and youre passionate about serving your clients well. You have knowledge about or interest in learning how to establish a small business.
• Youre safe. Youre dependable, clear-headed, and serious about keeping people safe. You have a valid Minnesota drivers license and a good recent driving record and you dont mind going through a background check.

• $1,800 sign on bonus paid over your first six months.
