ENTRY LEVEL: HERS Rater Apprentice: DuctTesters is looking for someone who would like to get in the green/energy efficient industry. We are willing to train the right candidate. The Apprentice position would start by shadowing a certified HERS Rater in order to learn how to check work that was installed by subcontractors in homes and/or buildings. The individual then moves on to learning the different types of verification, schedule management, tracking and reporting results, helping enhance subcontractor installations and education, and more. The team player grows to learn more while working with a Certified HERS Rater to earn their own HERS Rater Certification in Alterations/Additions and then New Construction. The Apprentice will travel within their region from job-site to job-site on a daily basis performing field inspections (HERS testing) verifying quality assurance for the client.

EXPERIENCED: Certified HERS Rater: DuctTesters is looking for a candidate with an alteration/addition and/or new construction certification from CHEERS and/or CalCERTS. If you have HVAC experience we can invest in you getting certified rather quickly to be at this level. We are willing to train and work with the right candidate. The rater would travel within a designated region from project to project daily performing field inspections and checking on quality assurance for the client. This individual should have strong time management skills and record keeping skills. Certified HERS Raters are provided a vehicle, insurance, gas card, cell phones, and more.

 

Applicant must have a valid California Driver’s License, Clean driving record and Background check. We are looking for individuals willing to be team players and grow within the company and themselves. This position requires time management skills, reliability, and honesty.
