Principal Accountabilities:

Working together across all regions to support Proposal Managers to develop winning bids.
Serve as the single point of contact for projects in execution ensuring that the functional strategies for the products offered are followed. Collect feedback from engineering team and follow up on product maintenance needs within the Product team.
Work with the Global L/VLASU Product Owners to collect Proposals & Projects feedback and lessons learned from key stakeholders (Business Area, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering).
Support product development efforts with the goal of reducing capital, engineering hours or construction costs and manage functional activities being completed by India region.
Assess competitiveness of current product offerings, their cost structure and identify possible gaps.
Improve local supply chain strategies working with Strategic Sourcing, Regional Procurement and local suppliers.
Lead the product team in best use of tools and systems to deliver excellence in execution.
Supporting other members of the L/VLASU product management team as required on assigned activities.


Job Requirements:


Degree Qualified (B.Tech, MTech in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering)
Experience in any or all of the following areas
Supporting or leading proposals and cost estimation
Supporting or leading product development initiatives
Project Management or construction management
Engineering Functions e.g. Design, Process Technology, or Mechanical equipment and turbomachinery
Broad experience in Chemicals Industry or EPC companies. Air Separation experience is preferred.
Have a cost focused mindset and be ability to influence project teams to execute Products to achieve lowest cost.
The successful applicant will have had experience across several different functions to develop the broad knowledge base required. Some experience in sourcing would also be an asset in this role.
The ideal candidate is highly collaborative with strong communication skills and an open mindedness.


Required Skills:

8-10 years experience, including engineering, product management and/or project management. Industrial gases experience preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude
Self-Management and motivation to drive competitiveness of the L/VLASU Product Line and success of proposals/projects.
Strong technical background with the ability to understand the implications of decisions across functions.
Demonstrated ability to work productively and proactively in a global team environment, collaborating with functional groups across an engineering organization.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment while balancing changing/competing priorities.
Some flexibility in working hours to enable effective support of the global organisation
