Luxium Solutions LLC has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Coordinator. The Engineering Coordinator will support engineering projects by adapting and applying engineering techniques; radiation detection manufacturing; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations. This position requires the utilization of a basic understanding of engineering principles and theories. The Engineering Coordinator assists the plant and departments in product development, increasing productivity, improving quality, and/or reducing costs. Assignments may focus on process, product, equipment, materials and/or methods development and improvement. This position will support the design engineering and supply chain groups to source components focused on new product development and prototyping. Projects are typically minor phases of broader programs.
Essential Functions will include:
Assist in designing, building, and optimizing radiation detection products to meet customer requirements for performance and cost.
Source components through bid and purchase order process.
Resolves engineering problems by collecting and analyzing information.
Prepares engineering reports by collecting analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
Ideal Candidate:
Associates degree or higher in an Engineering field
Enjoys working with their hands
Can problem solve and critically think.
Able to work with a team to solve problems and provide solutions.
Has at least 1 year of experience through internships, co-ops or professional experience.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Requirements
Education:
Associate of Science(Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar(link removed))
Experience:
Work experience in applicable industry with a historical combination of product and manufacturing engineering, including knowledge of appropriate production equipment.(1 to 3 years preferred)
