Tangelo aims to improve healthy food access and promote healthier lifestyles by making nutritious, affordable, and delicious food options accessible through a benefits platform for low-income families and those with chronic conditions. The Engineering Manager at Tangelo will be responsible for leading a team of engineers through the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to delivery and support. In this role, you will own and exhibit expertise in your domain, provide regular status updates, and drive the delivery of reliable products that meet the challenges faced by your colleagues. Additionally, you will manage sprints, collect context and match resources to stakeholders, review code, participate in architecture discussions, and occasionally jump in to code.

Role Scope:

• Collaborate with the team to guide the product development process from inception to support and beyond
  
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and mastery of your domain, and continuously contribute to project expertise
  
• Ensure consistent delivery of value through regular status updates and iteration
  
• Drive the production of robust, high-quality products that respond to the evolving needs of the team
  
• Efficiently manage sprints, gather essential information, and align resources with stakeholders' requirements
  
• Conduct thorough code reviews, actively participate in architectural discussions, and provide hands-on support as needed.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) and 6+ years experience or 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Proven experience leading and managing large, cross-functional teams of engineers, QA specialists, designers, and other stakeholders
  
• Strong skills and passion for modern Javascript/Typescript development
• Comprehensive full-stack experience with expertise in Front End, Backend, QA, and Data, and the ability to provide informed opinions on these areas.
