We have partnered with a large manufacturing electronic components company in the Marlborough, MA area to provide them with a Enterprise Software Business Development Leader.

  • Ability to manage customer-related activities and exhibit proactive & innovative management styles as seen through previous professional experience. Ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously and will have demonstrated experience in entrepreneurial environments related to expansion and revenue generation. They will be responsible for leading the development and growth of profitable new business and for developing and maintaining effective key relationships. This position will also ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities to ensure that they are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy.

    Responsibilities of the Enterprise Software Business Development Leader:

    • Meeting or exceeding the sales goals for this position with a focus on discovering new opportunities and customers for the ION Netgard Privileged Gateway solution.
    • Work closely with the Area Sales Director, SSIA Management, territory sales representatives, authorized resellers and factory personnel to develop a sales funnel to position the region to meet corporate goals.
    • This ION Netgard Priveged Gateway solution serves the Privileged Access Management, or PAM, industry. The ideal candidate will have experience selling in Privileged Access Management, or the sub-feature secure access, and possess expertise in solution software selling, or value proposition selling to enterprise-level companies.
    • Identify and Develop new Managed Service Provider, Government, and Enterprise customers for ION Products.
    • Manage and direct day-to-day sales activities to meet the planned monthly, quarterly and annual regional goals.
    • Develop market intelligence by providing voice-of-the-customer feedback into sustaining activities and new products. Researching the customer threat environment, recognize and highlight opportunities to gain insight into the customer's mission, requirements, constraints, budgeting, procurement plan, and current contractor support.
    • Support management and execution of growth plans, strategies, and capture initiatives with regards to both International & Domestic new business growth opportunities.
    • Develop strategies to ensure rapid market uptake ahead of product launches.
    • Drive new product initiative activities, including:
    • Identifying key customers for upcoming products and beginning the socialization process ahead of launch
    • Identifying needs for new sales and BD channels
    • Providing Sales and Selling Partners training ahead of Product Launch
    • Develop and execute account development plans to promote growth within the PAM market.
    • Generate opportunity capture plans with product line personnel along with strategies to increase the win probability of significant opportunities.
    • Develop strong working relationships with customers, representatives, and product line personnel to facilitate the capture of new opportunities.
    • Provides accurate forecasts and other information in a timely basis as requested.

    Requirements of the Enterprise Software Business Development Leader:

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree
    • Experience Years: 10-15 years
    • Experience Type: Engineering
    • OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Ability to travel at least up to 30% of the time
    • Strong problem solving and collaboration skills
    • Subject matter expertise in products and markets in their respective product line.
    • Experience in developing and making formal presentations to executive management
    • Strong motivation and interpersonal skills required
    • Ability to successfully coordinate efforts of staff outside of individual's span of authority
    • Experience in dealing with domestic and international customer requirements, capability gap analysis, and Defense Department programming and acquisition processes
    • Selling Privileged Access Management or Security Applications
    • Working a sales funnel through a CRM
    • Location: Within 45 minutes of office location

    Nice-To-Have

    • Sales Experience within PAM vendor market (ie SecureLink, Thycotic-Centrify, CyberArc, BeyondTrust)
    • Experience in Telecommunications Industry
    • Sells technology solutions
    • Sales Engineer or Field Application Engineer
