Enterprise Software Management Team (ESMT) Lead:

The High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) mission is to accelerate technology development and transition to superior defense capabilities, which provide the Department of Defense's scientists and engineers with the resources necessary to solve the most demanding problems through the strategic application of high performance computing, networking and computational expertise.

Enterprise Software Management Team (ESMT) Lead will be responsible for the following while working on site at a DOD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC):

•           Perform software systems design and development based on systems engineering principles and processes.

•           Develop requirements to assist HPC users in the development and execution of HPC software.

•           Develop software systems architected to support open system concepts, exploit Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) computer system products and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS), and allow incremental improvements based on modular, reusable, and extensible software.

•           Document software measurement processes in planning and tracking the software developed/acquired.

•           Assess and improve the software development process and the associated software product in accordance with contractor established software engineering practices.

•           Maintain COTS to include license negotiation, operations & maintenance server.

•           Perform short-term cooperative software research and development of computational science applications resulting from user requests and project collaboration.

•           Provide expert advice and assistance in configuring and installing computational software applications, tools, advance libraries, software containers and related data for HPCMP users resulting from user requests and project collaboration.

•           Conduct studies to perform software engineering design and analysis within the major functional areas of HPCMP. Escalate tickets properly to higher customer support areas via established workflows and/or SOPs.

Required: Recent and relevant experience managing Enterprise IT efforts, with a solid understanding of High Performance Computing.

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. An active secret security clearance is required. This is a full-time position located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
