Chester and Chester is a fast-growing accounting company located in the heart of the city. We are currently seeking an Entry Level Tax Preparer to join our team. As an Entry Level Tax Preparer, you will receive comprehensive training to accurately prepare, review, and file tax returns for individuals and businesses. You will work with a supportive team and have the opportunity to grow your career in the field of tax preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Communicate effectively with clients and provide exceptional customer service
• Maintain and organize client files and records
• Conduct tax research to ensure accuracy and compliance with current laws and regulations
• Assist with tax planning and forecasting for clients
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
• Continuously seek knowledge of tax laws and changes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Familiarity with tax preparation software such as Drake or Lacerte
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the field of tax preparation
