Job Overview
The Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Coordinator is responsible for assisting the EHS manager in the execution of the Client's Arlington safety systems and culture. Understand and assist in the development, execution, and measurement of safety goals, metrics and KPI's. Work with and assist other members of the EHS department, as needed. This is a food grade facility that complies with all applicable FDA/GMP requirements.

Essential Job Duties
Assist with review of accident and incident investigations. Track and update corrective actions via online EHS management system.
Support implementation of EHS Training programs. Develop and upload powerpoint content. Assign, track and update online EHS training database. Coordinate and present EHS general awareness and facility training programs.
Support and conduct EHS related audits and inspections for the site. Document all related files both hardcopy and electronic. Track and close corrective actions derived from inspections and audits in online database.
Maintain and update electronic EHS SOP's for all safe work practices.
Use online database to analyze EHS data (safety good catches, etc.) and develop appropriate internal reports.
Engage in EHS projects.
Responsible for coordinating regulatory programs to support the compliance process. Manage and track EHS compliance tasks via online EHS management system.
Track and maintain EHS essential supplies. Create electronic requisitions for EHS related purchases. Track electronically and maintain employees' safety shoes and RX safety eyeglasses purchases.
Serve on EHS teams/committees.
Communicate both verbally and in writing, EHS events and actions status to site employees. Update both physical and electronic EHS communication boards.
Support site employees with EHS requests and needs.
Support administrative needs such as recordkeeping, permitting, and worker's comp, etc. for EHS. Maintain filing systems (manually and electronically).

Qualifications
Required:
Certifications: None.
Education: Associates degree in science/technical field or equivalent experience.
Experience: 2 years minimum.
Skills:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Advanced proficiency in Computer skills, specifically Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) as well as web-based data systems.

Preferred:
Certifications: Any Environmental, Health, Safety, or Training.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety, or related technical field, or equivalent EHS experience.
Experience: Working knowledge of federal and state regulations including but not limited to, OSHA, EPA and DOT. Experience developing and conducting training. Manufacturing experience a plus.
