Premier Placements is seeking an experienced,motivated and self disciplined Environmental & Security Manager to join an established, growing company near the Greensboro, NC area. This highly skilled, on-the-floor leader will engage with associates daily, help lead environmental, wastewater and security initiatives. The Environmental Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the security contractors.

WORK SCHEDULE:

• Monday - Friday 6:00am 3:30pm (This role requires flexibility to adjust schedule as needed depending on plant activity)

SALARY:

• $120,000 with lucrative Yearly Bonus!

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees daily activities of team members to maintain environmental management system (EMS).
• Responsible for evaluating workplace to make sure that it complies with the standards of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
• Observes operations and run specific tests to make sure that company's practices are safe for employees, customers and the environment as a whole.
• Write up reports and help design strategies to correct any areas of risk or noncompliance.
• Complies with EPA guidelines, check sites for pollutants, create mitigation plans, perform operational testing to reduce pollutants.
• Develops organizational policies designed to meet environmental goals by testing operations and figuring out how to reduce the output of pollutants.
• In charge of monitoring energy standards, wastewater, and waste control.
• Provides training to new personnel on hazard recognition, as well as coordinating the handling of hazardous materials.
• Oversees pollution control programs and develops waste treatment and recycling procedures.
• Develops budget and timelines for environmental operations and develop cost reduction initiatives.
• Investigates environmental incidents and develops action plans.
• Educates workers on environmental programs and policies and stays updated with environmental trends and legislations.
• Serves as a point of contact and oversees the security contractors.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ Years of experience in an Environmental Health and Safety Manager position at a manufacturing facility.
• Establish a strong working relationship with the organizational stakeholders and the operational leadership team and enable the site to effectively identify and mitigate EHS risks.
• Trained subject matter expertise familiar with OSHA/EPA regulations.
• Action oriented high level of energy and able to help others see the goals for safety, health, and environment.
• Approachability able to present well and establish credibility.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible schedule.
• Priority setting able to effectively direct the activities of others including establishing expectations, removing barriers, and managing performance.
