Cogency Medical has immediate opening for part time, entry level or greater, Environmental and Technical Specialist, in our Department of Environmental and Technical Services. The firm handles very unique and very diverse range of OEM and public health issues for private and public clients, including the federal and state government, large corporations and many self-insured clients.

Job Title: Environmental and Technical Specialist, Department of Environmental and Technical Services (Baltimore, Maryland)

Job Purpose: To maintain and facilitate various projects to include, but not limited to, review and abstraction of project documents, liaison between project experts, project staff, administrative services and client on investigations, consulting services and litigation support within the field of toxicology, occupational and environmental medicine under the Supervisor of Environmental and Technical Services.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. Review and analyze technical, environmental and toxicologic records
  2. Perform comprehensive review of literature and regulatory policies
  3. Contribute to case specific analysis, literature analysis, critical thinking & integration of data and report generation
  4. Write reports, accurately summarizing findings, the teams analysis and recommendations
  5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
  6. Assist other Cogency staff, consultants and experts on various projects, including site inspections and investigations
  7. Project management, as required
  8. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent, from an accredited college or university
  • Experience, education or training in environmental health related fields
  • Critical thinking skills and excellent writing skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook

Experience:

Special consideration to those with a Master of Public Health (MPH), or the equivalent, with a concentration in Environmental Health

Occupational Health, Safety Services or other Environmental experience a plus

Miscellaneous:

May involve some traveling for site investigations, conferences and other events
