DAOU is looking for a full-time Estate Shuttle Driver. This role works in unison with the hospitality team, providing exceptional customer service while offering a welcoming, memorable experience to our guests. Theshuttle driver is responsible for transporting guests at the Estate and helping communicate the uniqueness of the winery through a consistent and impactful brand message.

Core Responsibilities

• Serve as an ambassador of the company, exemplifying excellence in customer service.
• Transport guests from lower lot of the winery to the tasting room in a timely manner.
• Welcome visitors and guestsimmediately when entering the shuttle.
• Able to provide information on the DAOU story, wines, experiences, and Wine Club information.
• Provide facility information and general assistance to guests.
• Describe Tasting Room options with accuracy and enthusiasm to guests.
• Communicates with Manager, Hospitality & Guest Experience of any shuttle maintenance needed.
• Aware of parking lot availability at all times.
• Aware of any guests that are waiting to be shuttled down to the lower lot.
• Communicates with the traffic controller regarding any parking issues.
• Communicates to the Manager, Hospitality & Guest Experience regarding any guest issues or concerns.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 25 years old with 3 years of driving experience.
• Prior hospitality and customer service experience recommended.
• Professional personal presentation.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be punctual and reliable.

Success Factors & Preferred Skills

• Must be enthusiastic with excellent customer service skills, enjoy working with people and possess a friendly, outgoing, and positive personality.
• Must have ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, adapt, and show flexibility to changing job requirements.
• Knowledge of Paso Robles wineries, restaurants and hotels would be a plus.
• The ability to speak French and/or Spanish would be a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative guest facing environment.

Working Conditions

• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to open shuttle door multiple times a day.
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and non-traditional business hours including evenings, weekends and holidays required.

Compensation Range for this role is $18/hr - $22/hr, depending on experience.
