Job Overview
The Events Planner is an integral part of the overall OW Global Events Team. This role manages and supports events across Europe, with a specific focus on and responsibility to assigned offices in the Germany and Austria Market. The role also includes assisting local event networks in acting as a liaison to OW Global Events. On a market level, the Events Planner is strategically advising the larger local office social committees and office leaders in Germany & Austria with their event planning, budget management and local office engagement and is leading the market flagship events with a specific focus on project team management and execution. For this purpose, the Events Planner is collaborating closely with the Oliver Wyman Market CEO and COO.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage internal firm events both virtual and in-person.
Lead on venue and event vendor sourcing from brief through to contract negotiations.
Coordinate event logistics including agenda, travel, invitation and registration, food & beverage, and relevant event materials in collaboration with wider teams such as IT, Design and Committees.
Manage event budgets and vendor payments.
Manage all aspects of Cvent registration including website creation, registration management and reporting.
Own GnA events mailbox and maintain scheduling via the Germany and Austria calendar.
Dedicated point of contact for offices in the Germany and Austria market advising on event planning and monitoring budget.
Build and manage vendor relationships across multiple areas including procuring new services and negotiating contracts.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop and deliver community building initiatives focused on employee engagement plans.
Support the team on region wide events on various assigned tasks.
Manage department led projects shaping guidelines and best practice sharing.
Experience Required
Minimum of 3+ years of event planning experience required, including experience managing budgets and expense reconciliation.
Bachelors Degree Preferred

An individual known to exhibit enthusiasm, integrity and willingness to roll up their sleeves to get the job done. Flexible attitude, hard-working and results driven
Ability to travel as required
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience with meeting management software such as Cvent
