Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead design, configuration, and implementation of virtual and physical infrastructure for enterprise messaging environment;
Lead design, configuration, and implementation of cloud-based resources necessary for enterprise messaging environment and Office 365-related applications;
Lead design, configuration, and implementation of messaging archival and archive search tools;
Assist appropriate departments (e.g., OIG, Counsel, and HR) in performing requested email and email archive searches;
Lead development of appropriate email system policies (quotas, retention, feature availability, etc.);
Ensure email system availability through identification of system thresholds and operational trends;
Ensure the consistency and compatibility of all messaging applications;
Develop, manage, and troubleshoot group policy at all levels (local, OU, site, etc.);
Write and maintain scripts to automate and troubleshoot systems as necessary;
Lead the design and/or review of a distributed MS Windows infrastructure;
Provide top-tier support administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting Exchange 2007 or greater, Windows 2003 Active Directory (AD) or greater, and mail gateways in a distributed Exchange environment and ensure best practices are implemented;
Manage and monitor Windows OS servers and Microsoft systems;
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to systems design, systems configuration, testing and evaluation, and network configuration;
Respond to server monitoring system alerts to evaluate and remedy identified problems;
Participate in the development, testing, and implementation of DR procedures for critical systems;
Evaluate, analyze, and audit production systems processes and equipment and help develop and implement solutions to aid with the continuity of operations;
Participate in the identification of vulnerabilities and their mitigation;
Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies;
Maintain effective communications with vendors, peers, and clients in support of assigned projects; and
Lead the development of written project plans, task schedules, test and evaluation plans, and system design documents.
Minimum Requirements:

Expert knowledge of industry standard messaging systems, anti-spam, and anti-virus solutions;
Extensive, expert-level experience administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting Blackberry enterprise servers;
Extensive knowledge of virtual server technology, configuration, and deployment strategies;
Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP, LDAP, SNMP, SMTP, and other networking protocols;
Expertise in developing and testing DR procedures for a full production Exchange deployment including AD components ensuring continuity of operations;
Expert knowledge of alternative enterprise messaging platforms (GroupWise, Domino);
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Outlook;
Expert knowledge of Microsoft cloud licensing levels and features (E1, E5, F1, etc.);
Ability to provide full spectrum support of MS-based systems, including operating systems and server applications (MS Exchange 2003/2007/2010, AD 2003/2012, DNS, Print/File services, llS, WSUS, SQL Server, etc.);
Ability to lead multi-team and discipline collaboration and problem-solving efforts; and
Ability to communicate effectively.
Experience:

Mid-level: four (4) to seven (7) years of experience.
Senior level: eight (8) or more years of experience.
