We are seeking committed and passionate After School Program Group Leader to lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our East Bay After School Programs. As a Group Leader, you will lead and mentor up to 20 youth in an afterschool setting.

Position starts end of July-early August

Benefits:

  • Pay rate: $22/hr (based on experience and location)
  • Hours: 21 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, afternoons until 6 p.m.; Off holidays, summers, and weekends
  • Stepping stone into a career in education, to a credentialed teacher

Minimum Qualifications:

  • No experience required
  • Available Monday through Friday 22 hours per week, afternoons until 6 pm
  • Ability to reliably commute to Alameda, CA (LOVE Elementary)
  • Passionate about learning and youth development: K-12
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Preferred:

  • Commitment to a full school year, ability to practice open, clear and consistent communication, and commitment to participate in professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain a safe and emotionally supportive environment
  • Execute lesson plans that support school-day learning
  • Collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)
  • Model BACR Best Practices
